Introducing Full Service Interior Design by An Inspiring Home and 5 key questions before you hire an interior designer! I have been longing to make this announcement for weeks now! However, I wanted to get all of my processes in place before letting the cat out of the bag.

With full service design I will take your project from the beginning and end with a fantastic reveal! You can check out my full service design package here. In addition to that I have a Q&A session in this blog post.

I am so excited to offer this service to my clients. I strongly believe in having systems and processes in place to help the project run smoothly. Being organized is a priority for me, and I know my clients appreciate that too.

Part of my process for design is getting to know my clients and setting the expectations up front so there are no surprises later in the process. In fact, I created a welcome packet for my clients. It explains my process in detail and lets you know how things are going to work from day one all the way to the final reveal of their space.

5 Key Questions Before You Hire an Interior Designer

Q. As a Designer, Do You Insist We Buy All New Furnishings?

A. No. If you have existing furnishings that you love let’s use them in the design! Sometimes, your pieces just need a new location in your home or a new coat of paint to liven it up. Rearranging your room will give it new life, and sometimes you only need a few furnishings or accessories to finish it off. This is your home, and I want to work with you to make it yours.

Q. Are You Going to Source a $6000 Sofa & Other High-End Expensive Furnishings?

A. No, not necessarily. I believe in working within my client’s budget. I will always recommend buying quality products. Especially with a sofa, which is an investment piece. The higher the quality, the longer it will last. In some cases, that means using my resources that are only available to an interior designer. I’m here to educate my clients in investing classic pieces that will last and sticking within my client’s budget is always a priority.

Q. Where do you source furnishings?

A.  I source furnishings from my trusted wholesale vendors. I am familiar with the quality of the products, and I know where they're coming from. Part of the reason for this is the wide variety available to me, and you get products that are more unique and not something you find at your everyday retailer.

In addition, I'm able to provide custom products to you like custom drapes and other window coverings. We can customize a sofa for you whether it's the size, configuration or fabric we can tailor it to your needs.

Q. I’m Remodeling My Bathroom. how Can You Help During a Remodel?

A. I can help you throughout the remodeling process for your kitchen or bathroom project. I work with trusted contractors who perform an excellent job. As a former architect, floor planning is my jam, and I provide the floor plans and elevations that the contractor will need. I'm also helping you select the right materials, fixtures and finishes for your kitchen or bath. Making all of those selections can be overwhelming for a homeowner, but I make it easy for you. Working alongside your contractor throughout the project will help ensure your project goes as smoothly as possible.

Q. I Have All of The Furniture I Need in My Home, but My Home Still Feels Empty. Help!

A. That’s where art and accessories come in! Maybe you don't need a full room design. Maybe you just need a 2 hour consultation for some styling advice or a Designer By Your Side to help you a little here and a little there throughout different areas of your home. It really does help to have a second set of eyes and take a look at your space from a fresh perspective.

Everyone has different needs and wants. I'm here to help YOU in your home so that it feels like YOUR home.
