Investment $500

Personalized Home Interior Design | Charlotte & Waxhaw | An Inspiring Home

If you are looking for some straightforward advice on how to update your home and get started with a project, then a design consultation is right for you. This is also the first step when starting a design project with us.

Let's Work Together

What to Expect

First, we’ll sit down and talk with you about the goals and dreams you have for your home. Then we’ll walk through your home giving you professional advice along the way.

If you’re moving into a new home, we’re happy to give you some furniture layout and décor ideas.

If this is a new build or renovation, then we can take a look at your floor plans and layouts and offer some tips to ensure it’s right for you and your family. It's important to talk about the numbers associated with a renovation project, what to expect and how to prepare.

For a furnishings and décor project we provide a furnishings investment guide so you know what it actually costs to fully furnish a space.

After the consultation, we will prepare a personalized consultation report and proposal to deliver to you via a zoom call. At that time, we’ll discuss the scope of work and the next steps to get started on your project!

One Room at a Time or All at Once:
What's the Best Approach for You?

The decision to renovate one room at a time versus tackling multiple spaces simultaneously often boils down to personal preference, budget, and timing. At An Inspiring Home, we're equipped to guide you through either path. Here are some considerations for both approaches:

The Benefits of One Room at a Time

  • Focus on Details: Working on one space allows you to hone in on every element, from the lighting to the furnishings.
  • Budget-Friendly: Smaller projects can be easier to fund, offering a chance to save up for the next room.
  • Less Disruption: With fewer construction zones, your daily life experiences less upheaval.

The Advantages of a Whole-Home Renovation

Cohesive Design: Renovating multiple rooms at once ensures a unified look throughout your home.

Economies of Scale: Purchasing in larger quantities allows for a more efficient and streamlined design process, ultimately saving you time and reducing costly errors

Time Efficiency: Your entire home could be ready in the time it might take to finish two or three individual rooms sequentially.

Whatever your choice, An Inspiring Home is committed to delivering a seamless design process tailored to your individual needs, project size, and aspirations. Each path has its merits, and we're here to help you make the decision that aligns best with your lifestyle and goals.

"I asked Jen to look at my space to address questions I had about what type of coffee table/ottoman would work in my space. She helped me to see how something larger than I was considering would work better, and the benefits of trying a rectangular ottoman which could then be pulled back for additional seating. We still had time in our consult, so I took the opportunity to ask her about changing the pendent lighting in my kitchen. We browsed together through various lighting venders websites, and she made suggestions along the way. We found some that I ultimately ordered and just love! Her encouragement to try something a little more modern, made all the difference! Jen is professional, listens, and is thoughtful with her suggestions... I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again!"

Debra - Marvin, NC
