It’s that time of year again! That’s right, 66 days until Christmas! Are you ready? I know you may be thinking it’s still two months away, but I have to tell you that if you are looking to refresh your Christmas décor, now is the time! Today I’m sharing my favorite transitional holiday and Christmas decor 2020.
Why is now, the middle of October, the time to buy? Retailers discount their holiday items at 40% during the month of October. If you wait until November, things start selling out and the prices go back up. You can wait until after Christmas to purchase items at deeper discounts, but most things will be out of stock. So, now is the time if you have your eye on something.
I have compiled for you my favorite holiday and Christmas décor items in this blog post. Plus, if you notice in my main menu at the top of the page you’ll see a shop category. If you know me, you know I like to keep my decor simple and to a minimum. Even though I love the Christmas season and the meaning behind it, I also like decor that doesn’t scream Christmas!
My favorite items to use during the holidays are Christmas trees, reindeer, gold candle holders, lights and greenery. I’m not much for traditional red and green but I do like silver and gold and some sparkle. I will usually do a non-traditional color combo like deep green and cream or red and turquoise. I also love various shades of winter white and royal blue.
