I’ve rounded up some of my favorite pillow combinations for fall. Some of these I have in my own home. These are all actually pillow covers and you buy the pillow inserts separately. This way you can swap out your pillow covers with the seasons or when it’s time for a refresh. No need to store a bunch of pillows you’re not using when you can easily store the covers.

I love using stripes and florals! These pair well together. Then if you want to throw in a third pillow, find a solid or a different scale print that is one of the colors from your floral. Here’s an example on a bed.

Bed pillow recipe example: 3 – 24″ striped euro pillows, 2 – 22″ solid pillows in an accent color, 1 – 20″ floral pillow to tie everything together. You could even swap out the green pillow covers for blue or red.

Here is an example of a sectional using pillows that coordinate with the rug. The black and white striped pillows are neutral and will work with many patterns and fabrics. The floral pillow has similar colors as the rug and then I pulled the blue and yellow colors from that for the other navy and yellow pillows. The yellow pillows have a pattern that doesn’t compete with the floral pillow or the rug.

For a more cozy & subdued look, this one calls for a neutral sofa and rug with navy, cream, gray and taupe. The navy and cream plaid pillows and tasseled taupe pillow are perfect for fall. I like to use larger pillows in the back (20″-22″) and then smaller pillows in front (18″-20″) when styling any sofa or sectional with pillows.
