Favorite Christmas Decor
Nov 06, 2019

While it may be a little too early for me to get out all of my Christmas decor, it’s not too early to provide you with a little inspiration! Take a look at some of my favorite Christmas decor items for this year and 5 ways to make your holiday season a little more cozy. In fact, some of these items can be used throughout the winter season!

I love the holiday season from the music to the celebrations with family and friends. When it comes to Christmas, I like a cozy, yet modern vibe. I love to use neutrals for a more natural feel to Christmas along with pops of blues and greens. Let’s not forget the silver and gold because I do love me some sparkle! Take a look at how I incorporated these items into a room.

5 WAYS TO MAKE IT COZY

  1. Pillows – You can’t have too many of these! Look for ones that coordinate but are different in color, texture or pattern.
  2. A soft throw – You can drape it over a chair or sofa or store a few in a basket. The soft and faux fur ones are ideal for this time of year.
  3. Baskets – Baskets bring an additional texture. Use larger ones for storing extra blankets and pillows. In addition, you can use smaller ones on a shelf for some smaller objects.
  4. Greenery – Whether it’s real or faux, plants will bring life to a space and keep it from feeling too cold in a visual way. What better excuse to add an extra Christmas tree or some eucalyptus garland to a room?
  5. Lighting – If you have dimmers in your room, use them. They set the mood! Otherwise, use lamps, sconces or other light sources to provide some low lighting to make it cozy, or turn off all the lights and light the fireplace or a few candles.

By using these 5 things in a room, your holidays will be extra cozy, of course, a cup of hot chocolate doesn’t hurt either. I’ve linked a few of my favorites for you here.
