As we wrap up 2024, I love to take a moment to reflect on our interior design projects from this year. It's a tradition I look forward to, and I'm excited to share the ins and outs of our creative process and design approach.

1. Light and Bright:

Primary Bathroom and Basement Renovation 

One of the secrets of interior design is lighting. Whether natural or artificial, lighting can change the look and feel of your room. 

For this project, we transformed a dark and outdated basement into a fun place to hang out and a primary bathroom into a modern spa-like space!

This basement needed a complete transformation. Our approach was to give it a fresh, grown-up look. We carefully sourced new flooring, updated the paint colors, and selected furnishings that created distinct spaces for movie watching, conversation, and even a pool table area. 

The primary bathroom had a similar dark, dated vibe, so we took it down to the studs and rebuilt it with modern, luxurious materials, giving the space a fresh, inviting feel. 

My favorite part was transforming these rooms into something both functional and beautiful for everyday use.

2. Classic Black and White:

Kids and Guest Bathroom Renovation

Our clients love black and white, and during our design consultation, they requested to use these colors in the project. And so, our challenge was to create a bright and modern spot by using these two tones. 

Our approach  was to give it a more open, fresh, and welcoming look. We focused on updating the layout by removing a wall and adding colors to the design that our clients really loved. 

This timeless color scheme gives the bathrooms a crisp, clean look while maintaining a sense of elegance and functionality.

I love the small touches that make a big difference, like the shampoo niche which gives it a classic and fun touch!

3. More Fun Than Fancy:

Home Renovation

I love it when we get the chance to remodel multiple rooms in a house because it promotes a cohesive look. When our clients contacted us about remodeling their home, we were excited to help them transform it into a place to love and entertain!

This home, untouched for over two decades, needed a complete transformation to match our clients' vibrant lifestyle and love for entertaining family and friends. 

The outdated finishes, dark color palette, and aged design elements no longer served their needs or aesthetic vision.

We reimagined the space, starting with custom updates to the built-ins and a refreshed fireplace to serve as stunning focal points. 

The kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms underwent complete remodels, incorporating modern layouts, high-end materials, and functional upgrades. 

We thoughtfully updated the lighting throughout the home to create a welcoming ambiance while adding fresh furnishings, decor, and a bright, neutral color palette to bring the space to life.

The result is a fresh, light, and inviting home—perfect for gatherings and celebrations.

4. Cozy Chic Bungalow:

Living Room and Primary Bedroom Design

I'm excited to share an exclusive sneak peek of our upcoming reveals: Our Cozy Chic Bungalow Project. Our client reached out to us with the desire to transform these two rooms in their house into a comfortable haven.

Our inspiration started with the following mood board, where we included these elements:

• Wallpaper. We can't get enough wallpaper because it transforms a room's look. We sourced a textured one to provide balance to the whole space. 
• Plants. If you've been reading our blog for a while, you know we always include greenery. They just create the perfect harmony of warmth and comfort in a home.
• Customized furniture can increase the room's look and feel. It's an investment that goes a long way!

5. Designer For a Day Bathroom

Our clients had just started a primary bathroom renovation, and needed some confirmation in their materials selections. We did that in addition to helping them select lighting, hardware, paint, and plumbing fixtures. Look for a blog post coming out soon for this beautiful bathroom.

6. Kitchen + Bath Remodeling Roadmap

It may not be a home renovation project, but we did pour our heart and soul into this guide. We made it for our clients who have never worked with a designer before and want to remodel their kitchen and bathroom. 

We narrowed it down to these specific rooms because they’re the ones we use most in our homes.

Our kitchen is the heart of the house, where we share fun moments with our loved ones and entertain our guests, and the bathroom is our spa to decompress and recharge to tackle a new day.
