The holidays are just around the corner, believe it or not, and I want to give you a jump start on your holiday decorating. Here I am sharing with you my favorite essentials for holiday entertaining and decor.

Below I have created two mood boards - one for entertaining and one for decorating. I like to incorporate simple holiday decor items that I can use year after year. Let me show you how.

My Favorite Essentials For Holiday Entertaining

  1. Black placemats: adds some texture and drama to your table. Remember the key is to layer your table for special events.
  2. Gold flatware: makes any occasion extra special
  3. Garland: just run it down the center of your table. The greenery adds life and makes everything festive.
  4. Napkins: here is where you can bring in color to the table. I chose green to go with the black, white and gold theme here.
  5. Holiday dishes: I thought these were super cute and festive! Plus you can use them throughout the winter season.
  6. Candlesticks: every dinner table needs some candle light. These coordinate with the gold flatware. Just add them to the middle of the table with your garland.

Your guests will be impressed for sure!

My Favorite Essentials For Holiday Decor

  1. Modern wreath: a wreath is a must for the front door, even on a few key windows in the house. You could add a festive bow to this one
  2. Glass hurricanes: add candles & cranberries to these for an explosion of color in your living room. These are perfect for your fireplace mantel or console table.
  3. Red berry stems: grab a vase and fill it with you favorite holiday stems. I like the red berries for a giant pop of color.
  4. Garland: a must-have for your fireplace mantel. This one comes with lights, which I love to have on in the evening during the holidays.
  5. Christmas tree collar: I think this is a great idea if you don't want to mess with a tree skirt. The look is very clean and the texture adds another element of warmth to your space.
  6. Festive throw: Add some color and texture to the long winter days! Drape it over a chair or at the end of the sofa and grab it when you get a little cold. I love this one with the pom-poms.

Getting ready for Christmas and the holidays can be a bit stressful, but it doesn't have to be. I've made it easy for you to shop my favorite essentials for holiday entertaining and decor. When it comes to decor, I say a little goes a long way. I hope I've inspired you to make your home beautiful!
